Sex Pistols frontman hurls foul-mouthed abuse at Mercy singer

Duffy burst into tears at the Mojo Awards after John Lydon directed a tirade of abuse at her.
The Sex Pistols frontman blasted the singer when she tried to put her arm around him during a photocall at the awards on Monday night.
He is reported to have leapt away, shouting: ‘F*** off, you c***.’
‘It came completely out of the blue,' says an insider at the event.
'[Duffy] went to throw an arm around John as they posed up for their group photo. He wasn't expecting it and leapt about 2ft in the air when she touched him.
‘Then he let loose with his tirade. It was totally over the top and very unpleasant. Duffy looked terrified and began to cry,' the source tells the Daily Mirror.
Johnny, 52 – who used to be known as Johnny Rotten – is said to have been in a foul mood all night, despite the Sex Pistols winning the Icon Award.
Duffy, 24, scooped the Best Single gong for Mercy.
John was just as unpleasant when he appeared on I'm A Celebrity… in 2004, where he upset fellow campers including Jordan and Peter Andre.

How unfortunate. I used to like the guy and his antics, but there's no excuse for that. I hope a pit bull bites his fat bum.
Err, this is one of the reasons the man is an icon. He said how he felt in the 70's and he's still saying it now. It seems kind of incongrouous to give an award to a man for what and who he is, and then to vilify him when he lives up to expectations. Surely people should have realised by now that to put a one dimensional pop 'kitten' next to an embittered old punk is bound to lead to a flare up. Lydon is a rarity in the music industry; what you see is what you get.
Johnny is ROTTEN!! maybe he's gone all "PC" and wants everyone to 'respect his personal space', get a life Johnny, I remember when people used to respect you, now you're just another old hasbeen trying to be outrageous, doing anything for inches in the papers.
The only thing I cannot understand is why Duffy would bother with such a talentless loud mouth has-been in the first place. She can give me a surprise hug anytime.
