Singers dad Jamie Spears wants to find her somewhere with more privacy
Wednesday, 18 June 2008
Britney Spears’ dad Jamie Spears has revealed that he intends to sell her Studio City, LA, home.
The 26-year-old singer's dad was granted control over her estate by the LA courts earlier this year – and a source says he's looking for somewhere with 'more privacy and wide open spaces for her to raise her boys'.
It's rumoured they're looking at exclusive Beverly Park in LA's Calabasas region, closer to ex husband Kevin Federline, 30, and sons Jayden James, 1, and Sean Preston, 2.
Yesterday, Jamie submitted a report to LA’s Superior Court detailing why he should continue to be paid for his role as conservator. Since his daughter's release from a psychiatric ward in February he has received £1,250 a week to look after her.
‘From February 1 2008 through March 3 2008 I was with Britney on a near 24-hour basis to ensure her safety and well-being,’ the report says.
‘I ran errands, including buying groceries and cooking supper on a regular basis. I spent a good deal of every evening conversing with Britney. After Britney was released from the hospital, I brought Britney home and secured her living and care situation.’
Jamie remains her legal guardian until 31 July, when the court will review the arrangement.

he shouldn't be paid for doing his parental job.
Parents don't ask for payment for doing their parental duty.
Why shouldn't he be paid? She is grown, and if not for her father, she could very well be dead, if not simply going broke. People were obviously not looking after her well being, or she wouldn't have needed a court appointed guardian in the first place. If he takes care of her as a full time job, he should definitely be paid for it.
