Vatican doesnt like Angels And Demons novel
Tuesday, 17 June 2008
Filming for Tom Hanks' movie Angels And Demons has been held up after Catholic officials banned crew from its churches.
The actor, 51, has been working on the prequel to Dan Brown's Da Vinci Code for 2 weeks.
But the film's makers have been told not to shoot scenes in churches in Rome, where the picture is set.
‘We allow film-makers to use churches,’ Father Marco Fibbi tells The Metro.
‘But not those who wish to film fantasy or damage religious sentiment.’
The Da Vinci Code also received a hostile reception from the church in 2006.
