Fans hurl glow sticks at stage during Kanye West gig

Rapper booed by festival goers over long delay

Kanye West was met with a chorus of jeers when he took to the stage over an hour and a half late.

The singer, 31, was due on at 2.45am on Sunday at the Bonnaroo music festival in Tennessee, but only started his performance at 4.25am.

And fans showed their disgust by chanting ‘Kanye sucks’ and hurling glow sticks at the stage.

Festival spokesman Ken Weins told the BBC the delay was caused by having to take apart Pearl Jam's set and loading up Kanye West's equipment, which depicted him as a space traveller whose ship crash-lands.
