Family and friends pay their last respects to the director
Monday, 16 June 2008
Sydney Pollack’s friends and family celebrated the director's life and career at a private memorial service in LA.
The Oscar-winner died last month aged 73, after a 9-month battle with cancer.
Friends, family and business colleagues turned out to pay their last respects to him on Saturday.
It is thought his family wanted to keep details of the funeral private.
Sydney recently worked with George Clooney, 47, on hit movie Michael Clayton, which brought him his 6th Oscar nomination.
He leaves behind his wife Claire, daughters Rebecca and Rachel, and 6 grandchildren.
His son Steven died in a plane crash in 1993.
