Lynne Spears' book about bringing up her famous daughters to finally be released
Thursday, 12 June 2008
Lynne Spears' memoir about her life as mum to Britney Spears is finally going to hit the shelves.
The 52-year-old was due to release the book last year – then 26-year-old Brit's teen sister Jamie Lynn announced she was pregnant, putting a hold on publication.
‘It’s [Lynne’s] story of what it was like being a mom and raising two very famous people. It’s a memoir,’ a rep for publisher Thomas Nelson says.
‘When Jamie Lynn got pregnant, it was put on hold,' the spokesman tells People.
'Lynne never stopped working on it because she wants to express her love for her children and tell their stories through a mother’s eyes.'
Jamie Lynn, 17 – who is due to give birth this month – is now engaged to the baby's 19-year-old father Casey Aldridge.
Through The Storm: A Real Story Of Fame And Family In A Tabloid World, is set for release in September.
