Girls Aloud star will replace Sharon Osbourne

Cheryl Cole has beaten Mel B to be named the new judge on The X Factor.
The Girls Aloud singer will replace Sharon Osbourne, 55, who quit the show last week.
Cheryl’s background in winning reality show Popstars: The Rivals is believed to have won over bosses.
‘It's a massive honour to be following in the footsteps of Sharon Osbourne,’ she tells the BBC.
‘It will be brilliant to be a judge on The X Factor.’
The 24-year-old joins existing panellists Simon Cowell, 48, Louis Walsh, 55, and Dannii Minogue, 36, for the first round of auditions tomorrow.
But Cheryl insists Girls Aloud are not going to split.
‘The rest of the girls have said they're right behind me, which is really important for me as it will be weird to be on the other side of the fence this time,’ adds Chezza.
Earlier this week, Sharon said she'd love Cheryl to take over from her.
