Footballer surprises his wife as Girls Aloud tour ends

Ashley Cole went to the Girls Aloud concert with Cheryl Cole's mum Joan

Ashley Cole showered his wife Cheryl with gifts as she finished her tour with Girls Aloud.

The singer was backstage at Birmingham's NIA when she received balloons, champagne and a bouquet of flowers.

But Ash was so excited about the presents, he texted her before they arrived to ask if she'd got them.

‘He didn’t really think that through did he,’ she tells Hello! ‘Still, they are really beautiful.’

Ashley, 27, later arrived in Birmingham with Cheryl's mum Joan to watch her last performance.

In January, 22-year-old hairdresser Aimee Walton claimed she bedded Chelsea footballer Ashley.
