Sarah Harding has sparked speculation she’s leaving Girls Aloud by working on a solo project.
The singer is releasing a dance track with nu-rave group Filthy Dukes, which will feature on the soundtrack for new movie Wild Child.
‘It is a really exciting project for Sarah to be involved with,’ says a source. ‘She was chuffed to be approached and recognised as a singer in her own right.
‘It’s a pretty cool album with some big names featured on it, including Rihanna, Robbie Williams and Nelly Furtado. It promises to be a springboard for other things.’
But pals insist Sarah, 26, won't be parting ways with her Girls Aloud bandmates Cheryl Cole, 24, Nadine Coyle, 22, Nicola Roberts, 22, and Kimberley Walsh, 26, just yet.
‘Sarah’s always maintained that she loves Girls Aloud and has no desire for the band to split,' the source tells the Daily Mirror.
'But that doesn’t mean she’s not willing to branch out.’
