Shania Twain: I need time to heal my broken heart

But singer tells fans she will be back

Shania Twain split from husband Robert 'Mutt' Lange after 14 years of marriage

Shania Twain is heartbroken over her split from husband Robert 'Mutt' Lange.

The couple, who have son Eja D'Angelo, 6, announced in May that their 14 year marriage was over.

And Shania, 42, is finding it hard to deal with the break up.

‘As I am sure you have seen or heard; I am going through a rough time personally in my life,’ Shania writes on her official site.

‘I have so much to say but I know the best way for me to speak is through my music.

'I need some time to heal this broken heart but make no mistake; I will be back and hopefully stronger than ever.’

It was rumoured Robert, 59, was having an affair with Marie Anne Thiébaud, a former secretary who worked for the couple.

But they have both strongly denied the claims.
