Mark Ronson to produce the single
Sunday, 8 June 2008
Mark Ronson says Lily Allen and the Kaiser Chiefs are working together on a new single.
‘I’m busy producing the new Kaiser Chiefs album and Lily Allen’s album,’ he says.
‘The other week I was struck with a brainwave and thought: “Why don’t they do a track together?”
'I had a word with them all and everyone was keen so it happened.’
And he reckons Lily and the boys - Ricky Wilson, 30, Andrew White, 34, Simon Rix, 30, Nick Baines and Nick Hodgson, 30 – are doing a fab job.
‘It sounds awesome,’ Mark tells The Sun. ‘Lily and Ricky Wilson’s vocals really gel and the instrumentals are top drawer.
'We’re all hoping it’s going to be a big one. I’d definitely rock out to it at a festival. It’s a summer track, even if the weather is s*** at the moment.’
Lily, 23, and Mark, 32, released a cover of the Kaiser Chiefs track Oh My God last year.
