Holly Willoughby will replace Fearne Cotton

Holly Willoughby has confirmed she will be the new presenter of The Xtra Factor.

Holly, 27, who also co-hosts Dancing On Ice, will replace pal Fearne Cotton, 25, on the ITV2 show.

‘I am thrilled to be joining The X Factor team, I have always been a big fan of the show,’ she tells the Daily Mirror.

‘I am looking forward to going on the road with them and meeting some of the colourful characters the UK has to offer as well as this year's potential new stars.’

Fearne left the programme after just one series earlier this year to concentrate on her career in the US.
