Nicola Roberts has taken the plunge and had her long hair chopped off.

The Girls Aloud star, 22, showed off the dramatic new look while on tour with the band in Manchester.

She teamed the red do with a black jacket and jeans as she left the Hilton Hotel with bodyguards.
