US reality TV programme The Bachelor has been causing a storm across the pond.
The dating show sees 25 women compete for one eligible man – with a view to them getting married at the end.
In the latest season finale, British financier Matt Grant, 27, proposed to Shayne Lamas, daughter of US TV actor Lorenzo Lamas. But gossips fear their romance could go the way of season 2 winner Aaron Buerge.
Aaron got engaged to contestant Helene Eksterowicz, but the couple split acrimoniously just months after the show ended.
Now fans fear Matt’s engagement to Shayne won’t last either – and that the couple will suffer 'The Bachelor curse', according to thereader23.blogspot.com.
Matt proposed to Shayne on the island of Barbados and he claims they are 'very much in love'.

i know that matt and shayne will make it. they're love for each other is so strong and obvious. i just hope that they ignore all the negative thoughts and remarks about their relationship. i wish that people with negative thoughts would leave them alone and let them be happy together. afterall, matt had made his final decision to be with the love of his life and what is so wonderful about it is that she is in love with him too. i wish them both all the happiness that they deserve and hoping to see them get married soon.....they are a very beautiful couple.
