Beyoncé Knowles and Jay-Z are said to have splashed out on a grand New York mansion.

The couple have bought a 15,000 sq ft home in in Scarsdale, the New York suburb where they married last month.

The house has been under construction for the past 6 months and is situated in 2 acres of gardens, reports TMZ.

Jay-Z, real name Shawn Carter, 38, and Beyoncé, 26, tied the knot in a private ceremony at a chapel in Scarsdale Village on 4 April.
