Boyzone set to steal Take That's crown

Reformed boyband vow to 'outsex' old rivals on their new tour

Boyzone stars Ronan Keating, Shane Lynch, Stephen Gately, Mikey Graham and Keith Duff belted out old classics on Sunday

Boyzone performed their first gig in 7 years on Sunday night - and stripped to their pants to show off their new toned bodies.

The group, who will play 32 shows around the UK, have undergone a no-carbs diet and intensive fitness plan to get in shape.

'We have been working out with a fitness coach for 3 months,' frontman Ronan Keating, 31, tells the Daily Mirror.

'The fitness regime got us in such good shape we decided to strip off and show off our new look!'

The boys - including Shane Lynch, 31, Stephen Gately, 32, Mikey Graham, 35, and Keith Duffy, 33 - wowed the crowd in Belfast with a 2-hour set.

The tour has seen them reunite with former manager Louis Walsh, 55.

And of the obvious comparisons to the recent Take That tour, Ronan confesses to The Sun: 'They raised the bar and we had to follow. We had to outsex them.'
