Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt want to move in before she gives birth in August

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have splashed out £35million on a 35-bedroom chateau on the French Riviera - after spotting it during a helicopter ride.

The couple have viewed more than 100 properties but finally settled on the 1,000 acre estate near Aix-en-Provence when they flew over the region.

Brad, 44, and Ange, 32, are believed to have landed and struck up a deal for the sale within minutes.

'It's absolutely unbelievable,' a source tells the Daily Express. ‘Brad and Angelina are thrilled.

'They love the place and have already been furniture shopping.

'The house is surrounded by a forest so they'll have total privacy.'

The pair hope to move into the mansion - which includes 2 pools, a vineyard, lake and forest - before Angelina gives birth to their twins in August.

They are already parents to Shiloh, 2 today, and adopted Maddox, 6, Pax, 4, and Zahara, 3.
