Christian Bale signs up for next 3 Terminator films

He'll continue to play rebel leader John Connor

Christian Bale is currently filming Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins

Christian Bale will star in the next 3 Terminator films, producers confirm.

The actor, 34 - who plays rebel leader John Connor - is currently filming the 4th installment of the franchise, Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins.

But Victor Kubicek and Derek Anderson have announced he’s signed up for another 2 sequels.

‘Christian was our first choice and he's a big fan of The Terminator, so we're very lucky,’ Victor said at the Cannes Film Festival.

‘But with Batman he's already done the whole franchise thing, so we weren't sure he'd respond.’

But the pair are keeping quiet about the return of original star Arnold Schwarzenegger.

‘Unfortunately that's something we can't tell you,’ Derek told the
BBC.

‘At the moment we're keeping everything under lock and key.

'We want the fans to be really excited and surprised.’
