Actress Natascha McElhone’s husband has been found dead at the age of 42.
Plastic surgeon Martin Kelly had a suspected heart attack yesterday at the couple's £2.5m Fulham home.
Natascha, 36, who is expecting their third child, is 'absolutely devastated' after being told the news. She and her sons – Theo, 8, and Otis, 4 – are now flying back from LA where she has been filming hit TV show Californication with David Duchovny.
Martin was taken to Chelsea and Westminster Hospital after a colleague found him collapsed on the floor but doctors failed to revive him.
Natascha’s stepfather Roy Greenslade has paid tribute to his talented son-in-law .
‘They had a fairytale romance - they were starcrossed lovers,’ he told the Daily Mail. ‘I have never known a marriage as close and warm as theirs. This is just an act of terrible cruelty. Even those doctors I have spoken to, including his close friends who tried to revive him, are mystified.
‘Martin did have a bit of a virus earlier this month and it is possible that did something to his heart valve. But clearly his death was utterly unexpected.’
Police are treating the death as unexplained. A post-mortem examination will take place this week.
