Melanie Sykes: I hated being pregnant

TV presenter never wants to go through labour again

Melanie Sykes has two children with husband Daniel Caltagirone

Melanie Sykes admits she has no plans to extend her family because of the traumatic birth of her 2nd child.

The TV star, 37, needed an emergency blood transfusion to save her life when she gave birth to Valentino, now 3.

And despite counselling, she has no desire to go through it all again.

‘If the same thing happened a 2nd time then I would have to have a hysterectomy and I really don’t want to go through it,' she admits.

Melanie is married to actor husband Daniel Caltagirone and they are also mum and dad to Roman, 6.

'I've got two boys who are magical and it doesn't bother me I don't have a girl,' she tells S Magazine. 'But the thing that’s stopping me most is the practicalities of having another one.

'I just don’t have the time – and I really did hate being pregnant.’
