Actor wants to go surfing while he survives on just water
Sunday, 25 May 2008
Woody Harrelson plans to live on a remote island and eat nothing for 40 days - to see how the experience affects his brain.
The actor, 46, will go ahead with the experiment as soon as he gets a break in his work schedule.
'I’ve always wanted to do it,' he says.
'I know it’s going to be really hard. But can you imagine it? Eating nothing for 40 days? Swimming and surfing every day in a remote place? Where does the mind go?'
Yoga-loving Woody loves isolated places.
He lives in a quiet farming town with no shops on the Hawaiian island of Maui with wife Laura Louie and their 3 daughters.
‘It’s off the grid, there’s no power lines,' he tells The Sunday Times Magazine.
'It’s a real community, like one I’ve never been part of in my life.'

Woody, Good luck with your FAST,Not 'starving', as some people think. To do it well, it takes research, dedication and will power not to screw it up. the main key to a real successful fast is when you come out of it and return to BETTER eating habits for one thing. For most people, it's better to start with smaller fasts so the body can adjust.
Is he kidding? What does it do to the mind? It kills it. Where does the mind go? To Hell. Holy crap; this is RIDICULOUS.
find a remote island and stay there....... fool
Just look at his eyes - he does not need 40 days without food - his mind is already severely affected LOLOLOL Bon appetit my sharky friends Woodie is being served on his Surf board ... What a friggin weirdo ....
He says he's always wanted to do it to see how it affects his brain. Let's hope his brain tells him it's a dumb idea before his body begins to deteriorate to the point his brain gets dumber than it already is. Maybe it's already too late. There is a reason for the expression, "brain food". It has to do with the brain and its need for nourishment. Try and imagine your brain in the opposite condition, Woody. You want to find out what it would be like to have deliberately made yourself as stupid as possible? It's really too late. You are already there.
