Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz get married

Couple exchange their vows in parents' back garden

Ashlee Simpson is now Mrs Wentz

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz tied the knot on Saturday at her parents’ home in California.

The couple exchanged vows in a ceremony held in a tent in the back garden, officiated by Ashlee's dad Joe Simpson.

Singer Ashlee, 23, wore an ivory lace gown by Moniquel Lhuillier and sparkling jewellery by William Noble.

Pete, 29, bassist for Fall Out Boy, wore a Dior Homme tuxedo.

It is thought over 150 guests attended the do including Ashlee's sister Jessica, 27, who was maid of honour, her boyfriend Tony Romo, 28, and Nicole Richie, 26, and Joel Madden, 29.

At the request of Ashlee and Pete, 29, all guests wore dark colours to match the gothic decor of black rugs, red pillows and black chandeliers.

Ashlee is rumoured to be pregnant with the couple's first child and sources claim that the bride confirmed she's expecting at the wedding reception.
