But Prince William won't be there

Kate Middleton will go to Peter Phillips' wedding without Prince William

Kate Middleton will attend the Royal wedding of Peter Phillips – in place of boyfriend Prince William.

Kate agreed to step in as Wills is going to another wedding in Kenya.

William, 25, flew out to the African country last weekend as he prepares to see former girlfriend Jecca Craig's brother Batian get hitched in a Maasai-themed ceremony.

‘Prince William is going to be out of the country this weekend on a long standing prior engagement,’ a source tells the Daily Mail.

‘It's an unfortunate clash but he spoke to his cousin Peter and he is fine with the situation.

‘His girlfriend will be going in his absence. It was a difficult decision as Peter and William are very close but the two talked it through.

'William felt he had to go to Kenya because the Craigs asked him first and it was the fairest thing to do.

'That's why William was so keen to go to Peter's stag party last month.’

Kate, 26, was set to boycott the wedding over fears she'd steal the limelight.

Clarence House declined to comment.
