Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon deny that their marriage is a publicity stunt

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon will have another wedding next year.

The couple tied the knot in a small ceremony in the Caribbean last month.

But they are now planning a more lavish affair.

‘Instead of trying to be like, “you're invited, but, shhh, don't tell anybody,” we're just going to have another [wedding] next year,’ Mariah told the Ellen DeGeneres show.

‘[Nick's] plan is to have one every year.’

And Mariah, 38, is convinced the marriage to Nick, 27, will last despite the way it’s been reported in the media.

‘We both experienced the hoopla of trying to make something a publicity stunt, which is what everybody thinks, and will think anyway, but we don't really care about that,’ she adds.

’I found the right person.’
