Tom Cruise: My marriage to Katie isn't fake

Hollywood star tellls Oprah Winfrey that he's as passionately in love as ever

Tom Cruise has appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show to tackle rumours about his marriage and beliefs.

The Hollywood star jumped on Oprah’s sofa in 2005 to express his love for Katie, 29, when they first fell in love - and he reckons his feelings haven't changed.

‘I just felt that way – and feel that way – about her,’ he explained. ‘I can’t even articulate it, to be honest. That feeling, that connection – just who she is and what she means to me.’

Tom, 45, said things that ‘came out wrong’ in past interviews, but it was something he’d learnt to take in his stride. ‘I feel like things have been misunderstood and there are things I could’ve done better,’ he admitted. ‘A lot of times I was nervous giving interviews. I just have to do the best I can.’

When asked how he felt about his marriage to Katie Holmes being labelled ‘fake’ by the press, Tom said: ‘That’s laughable to me. You just know that they’re trying to sell it and spin it.’
