Cast disappointed that the world premiere is held in London not New York
Monday, 12 May 2008
The stars of Sex And The City may boycott their own premiere tonight because its being held in London and not New York.
Sarah Jessica Parker, 43, Kim Cattrall, 51, Cynthia Nixon, 42, and Kristin Davis, 43, are said to be outraged that the screening won't be held in East Coast city, where the movie is set.
Its ludicrous. New York was the home of the TV series and its the home of the motion picture, a senior member of production staff says.
Its a slur to people in Manhattan and Brooklyn, whose lives were disrupted for months during the shooting, not to give them the honour of staging the premiere.
Show bosses are said to be concerned about the no-show.
Not everyones going to be there, a spokesman for New Line Cinema distributors tells the Daily Star Sunday.
Were hoping the major names will be there, but theres no guarantees. Its a long haul for crew members and those with smaller roles, though were sure there will be a decent turn out.

news reports say that the stars were thrilled to be in the UK. and i quote: "i love NY, I LIVE THERE! but i am having a love affair with the UK!" (Cattrall)
It seems quite ludicrous that the film studio would shoot itself in the foot like this. It had a hit show which could have gone on but they did not want to pay the actresses enough and now setting the premier in London when it has nothing to do with London is crazy. They have had bad press. They need everyone in the cast there and the won't be.
