Singer to return to Kentwood in Louisiana to help her little sister when she gives birth

Britney Spears wants to help her sister Jamie Lynn Spears with the baby

Britney Spears has promised her little sister that she's going to be around to offer all the help she can when Jamie Lynn gives birth.

The 17-year-old is due to have her first child with fiancé Casey Aldridge at the end of June and Britney, 26, wants to be there for her.

‘At the baby shower, she told her little sister she wanted to be there for her the entire time,’ a friend reveals.

‘I'm not sure how Casey is going to feel about that, but Jamie Lynn seems pretty excited.’

Britney, who is still under the care of her dad Jamie, will have to check wtih him before she goes back to Louisiana.

‘She had to ask him if it was OK to go back for the shower,’ the friend tells E! Online.

‘He has to give her permission to travel, and the money to do it. It's not that he doesn't want her there for her little sister. It's just that he thinks it's best to keep Britney close to home right now.’
