Monday, 12 May 2008
Sophie Ellis-Bextor is rumoured to have replaced Kate Moss as the face of
Rimmel.
The singer, 29, is said to have wowed bosses in secret screen tests and is set to appear in her first ad campaign this summer.
Kate Moss has been fantastic but Rimmel wanted a new, fresh face, a source tells the Sunday Mirror.
Sophie was the obvious choice. She is sexy and savvy with flawless skin and bags of attitude. Shes admired by young girls, shes a yummy mummy and men think shes gorgeous.
A Rimmel spokesperson says Kate hasnt been dropped from the brand: Kate will remain the face of the brand along with a larger scope of models who reach a broader range of markets.
Earlier this year, the 34-year-old supermodel was replaced at lingerie giant Agent Provocateur by Agyness Deyn, 22.
