Hugh Hefner has offered Miley Cyrus the chance to pose naked for Playboy magazine when she turns 18.

The Hannah Montana star, 15, caused controversy earlier this month when sexy photographs of her by Annie Leibovitz were published in Vanity Fair showing her wrapped in a sheet, displaying her bare back.

'I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be "artistic" and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed,' Miley declared after the pictures stirred up controversy.

Hugh, 82, reckons the scale of the reaction proves there would be immense interest from the public in a Playboy shoot.

‘I think to make such a big to do over something as innocent as those photos, I think is a reflection on how schizophrenic America is about sexuality,’ he tells The Sun.
