Lindsay Lohan to star in Ugly Betty

Actress will appear in season finale of hit US show

Lindsay Lohan could become a regular in Ugly Betty

Troubled star Lindsay Lohan has signed up to star in Ugly Betty.

The actress will appear in the season finale, which airs in the the US later this month. Supermodel Naomi Campbell also has a cameo in the same episode.

Producers are hoping Lindsay, 21, will reprise her role in the following series too.

It's believed she's playing a hapless fast food worker, reports The Sun.

Meanwhile, Lindsay has been left fuming after the police mugshot she had taken after her drink-driving arrest was used in an advertisement. The full-page ad appeared in American newspaper USA Today as part of a campaign against devices that stop people getting behind the wheel while drunk.

Her lawyer Blair Berk has issued a statement slamming the stunt.

‘USA Today is idiotic for running such an irresponsible advertisement, suggesting that drinking and driving is some kind of American “tradition” we should protect,’ he says. ‘Lindsay Lohan fully endorses ignition interlock devices that have been well-proven to save lives.’
