Footie hunk not popular with locals for demolishing perfectly good houses
Wednesday, 30 April 2008
Cristiano Ronaldo has fallen out with his neighbours over his new £4m mansion in Alderley Edge, Cheshire.
Locals reckon the 3-storey, 5-bedroom property is ugly, offensive, brutal and insensitive.
Neighbourhood group the Edge Association have accused him of demolishing perfectly good houses to build the huge home.
The plush pad has a swimming pool, sauna, cinema, media room, and landscaped gardens.
The association failed to block permission for the 23-year-old Manchester United star to erect the building.
But they hope to put a stop to anyone planning to do the same.
We dont like the principle of demolishing perfectly good houses and putting up huge mansions, spokesman Martin Sinker tells the Daily Star.
Weve got nothing against footballers like Mr Ronaldo, but the house is very big for the site its squeezed onto.
