Desperate Housewives star regrets waiting to have children
Friday, 25 April 2008
Marcia Cross has admitted that she regrets having her children so late in life.
The Desperate Housewives star gave birth to twins Eden and Savannah just over a year ago, when she was 45.
But she wishes she had settled down earlier.
‘I wanted to have kids in my 30s, but I just couldn’t get it together,’ she says.
‘I don’t think people want to wait. I wish I’d met my husband earlier.
'It’s sad having kids so late, because you want to be alive for as long as possible for them.’
But Marcia – who’s married to stockbroker Tom Mahoney - insists she’s happier than she’s ever been.
‘Motherhood is like being madly in love,’ she says.
‘Take your greatest love affair and magnify it as many times as you can imagine and it’s like that.
'Motherhood really cracks your heart right open.’
