Who’s the charming, good-looking man who’s been helping Kym Ryder to move on after her marriage split?

Kym Ryder has hit the party scene since announcing her split with husband Jack two weeks ago after five years of marriage – and she’s found the perfect companion already. But even though she’s been out on the town with pulling partner Roxanne Pallett, Kym, 31, doesn’t move that fast. Her new male sidekick is her gay best friend and Coronation Street co-star Antony Cotton, 32.

‘Kym has really leant on Antony since she first started having problems with Jack last year,’ a friend tells . ‘He listens to her and always encourages her to feel good about herself, something Kym’s struggled with in the past. Antony stops her from worrying too much about what life will be like on her own as a single mum.

‘Kym gets male attention when they hang out together, but she’s not ready for a relationship with a man and there’s no danger of that. Antony’s hilarious so he’s just the tonic she needs when they go out on the town.’

While Jack, 26, is away touring with his play Single Spies, Kym’s making every effort to move on after their split. Rather than staying in at home, she was living it up at Ladies Day at Aintree races recently, with Antony in tow, then headed to a fashion show in Manchester with Corrie co-star Michelle Keegan, who plays Tina, on 11 April. The following night Kym was with Antony again at the TV Now Awards in Dublin. Her friend says:

‘Kym wants to enjoy her success now that she’s single again and Antony’s the best person to help her at the moment.’

I,ve just been reading your article on Amanda Holden[11thDec issue]maybe someone should advise her to stop using Botox as she looks ridiculous when she tries to smile,she was much nicer before.
