Thursday, 24 April 2008
Lynne Spears has revealed she longs for her daughter Britney to put her troubles behind her.
'I pray for Britney every day to be a better mother,' she says. 'She's gone through a lot of trauma, but she seems to be coming out of it and it's showing in her relationship with the boys.'
Lynn, 52, also admits she's struggling to deal with her younger daughter Jamie Lynn's pregnancy.
The 17-year-old announced she was expecting a baby with boyfriend Casey Aldridge last year.
'I'm disappointed my youngest daughter got pregnant at such an early age,' she says.
'I wish she had waited a bit. All I can do is turn to God for answers and leave it in his hands.'
But despite her misgivings, Lynne, thinks her daughter will be a great parent.
'Jamie Lynn will be a wonderful mother,' she tells Life & Style. 'She really has a way with children she's a natural nurturer.'
Jamie Lynn is due due to give birth in the summer. It is thought she is planning to marry Casey, 19, after the baby is born.
