Beyonce and Jay Z's wedding licence filed in New York

Documents confirm pair have become husband and wife

Beyoncé Knowles and Jay Z have filed a wedding licence in New York, confirms an official.

The couple are reported to have married in a secret ceremony at Jay Z's Manhattan apartment on 4 April.

The newlyweds have still not talked about becoming man and wife but Scarsdale clerk Donna Conkling says signed documents confirm they're now spliced, reports BBC News.

Jay Z (real name Shawn Carter), 38, and Beyoncé, 26, have been dating since 2002.
