Sir Paul McCartney sparks engagement rumours

Macca seen splashing out at posh jewellery store

Sir Paul McCartney was spotted jewellery shopping this week – fueling rumours that he may pop the question to new love Nancy Shevell.

The singer is said to have splashed out at New Bond Street store SJ Phillips.

'He seems particularly fond of Nancy, whom he took on holiday to Antigua,' a source says. 'And if he's ready to take the plunge again, then well-off Nancy is a far safer bet.

'You wouldn't catch her gibbering away on the steps of the High Court dressed like the court jester.'

SJ Phillips confirmed to the Daily Express that Sir Paul, 65, was at the store – but refused to say what he bought.

Macca has also been linked to actress Rosanna Arquette, 48, and former Olympic horsewoman Tanya Larrigan in recent months.

He recently had to fork out a £24.3m divorce settlement to ex Heather Mills.
