Material Girl insists that 'cleanliness is next to godliness' in hilarious video
Monday, 21 April 2008
Madonna has sent herself up in a new YouTube video that features a Henry vacuum cleaner.
The clip is a response to fans, including US TV star Miley Cyrus, 15, who have been posting spoof versions of her new single 4 Minutes online.
Madonna, 49, wearing a black minidress, delivers a sarcastic message to the wannabes.
She is seen cleaning her carpet with the machine, before pausing to say: 'You people who are making videos of my single 4 Minutes, keep up the good work. Nice job. Nice run.
'But you need to clean up after yourself. Because cleanliness is next to godliness. Now get out of here. I got work to do...'
Meanwhile, it has been announced that Madge will headline Radio 1's Big Weekend in Kent on Saturday 10 May.
The singer, who has whisked 11-year-old daughter Lourdes off to the US to help her promote new album Hard Candy, notched up her 13th UK No1 with 4 Minutes yesterday.
The collaboration with Justin Timberlake and Timbaland knocked Estelle's single American Boy, featuring Kanye West, off the top of the charts.
