Actor says he was ‘so selfish’ when he dated Sex And The City star

Robert Downey Jr says he split with Sarah Jessica Parker because of his drug addiction.
The pair started dating in 1984 after meeting on the set of movie Firstborn.
But they broke up 7 years later because the Sex And The City star was fed up that Robert, 43, refused to get clean.
‘I was so selfish,’ he tells the Daily Record. ‘I liked to drink and I had a drug problem. That didn't jibe with Sarah Jessica, because it was the furthest thing from what she is.
'She tried to help me. She was so miffed when I didn't get my act together.’
Rob married producer Susan Levin in 2005.
Sarah, 43, has been married to actor Matthew Broderick, 46, for 11 years.
Sex And The City: The Movie is out next month.
