Friday, 18 April 2008
Pete Doherty is thought to have been moved to a high security unit in jail after allegedly receiving threats from other prisoners.
'Pete is in the segregation unit for his own safety, partly because he asked for the move himself,' a source tells The Sun.
The singer, 29, is currently in Wormwood Scrubs Prison serving a 14-week sentence for breaking the terms of his probation.
Meanwhile, the tabloid also claims that pals have taken advantage of the fact he's behind bars to make money.
'Pete's mates, people he really trusts, have been flogging his stuff to get some cash,' a source tells The Sun.
