Talk show host says Peter Gianfrancesco has helped her with cancer ordeal
Friday, 18 April 2008
Trisha Goddard has revealed that she wouldn’t have been able to deal with her breast cancer diagnosis had it not been for her husband Peter Gianfrancesco.
The talk show host, who has been with him for nearly 12 years, says Peter has gone through the same emotions as her.
‘He is strong but he has also cried, he has made me laugh, made me do laps of the ward to keep me moving, he has cuddled me, held me – and when I came out of the op he was there, telling me it was OK,’ she says. ‘I am berserk in love with him.
Trisha, 50, says it was hardest breaking the news to her daughters Billie, 18, and Madi, 13.
‘My elder daughter was very tearful,’ she tells the Daily Mirror. ‘Madi is very pragmatic and just fired questions at us.
'I asked the girls to be the same girls that they've always been - just to treat me the same, because if you start being treated like a sick person, you start seeing yourself as a victim.’
