Wills even collects Prince Harry on the way
Wednesday, 16 April 2008
Prince William used a £10m RAF helicopter to fly to a stag do on the Isle of Wight last weekend.
Cheeky Wills even stopped off in London at the Woolwich Army barracks to pick up his brother Prince Harry, 23, on the way to the bash for their cousin Peter Phillips, 30.
William, 25, was awarded his pilot wings last Friday in a ceremony at RAF Cranwell, Lincs.
An RAF spokesperson says the 80-minute journey was a vital part of his training, which he has been undertaking for 12 weeks, to teach him to fly over water.
'Prince William flew a legitimate training sortie which tested his new skills to the limit,' the spokesperson tells the Daily Mail.
The helicopter was flown back to its base in Hampshire by an RAF crew.
Clarence House declined to comment.
