Cameron Diaz's dad dies from pneumonia

Emilio Diaz passed away yesterday morning

Cameron Diaz's father has died at the age of 58.

Emilio Diaz developed flu which turned into pneumonia and he passed away early yesterday morning.

His death is said to have come as a huge shock to his family and friends, who thought he was in 'terrific health'.

Cameron, 35, has taken a break from filming her latest flick My Sister's Keeper, reports TMZ.

Emilio co-starred with his daughter in hit movie There's Something About Mary as the characer Jailbird.

Cameron's rep has not responded to a request for a comment.
