Charlotte Church is planning to marry rugby player boyfriend Gavin Henson in a secret ceremony at a beach hideaway in Mexico.
The couple's daughter Ruby was born in September last year but they'd had a turbulent relationship.
Charlotte, 22, has finally agreed to become a bride but only on the condition that it's not a white wedding and the ceremony takes place abroad.
Chaz and Gav - who's told team-mates he's now 'ready to settle down properly' - have already booked a two-week stay at the exclusive Esperanza resort in July and invited both sets of parents.
'Charlotte's sick of the endless jokes and digs from people around Cardiff who say she and Gavin will never marry,' reveals a friend.
'She hopes it'll put an end to those boozy nights out that always seemed to end in rows. Charlotte just wants a more stable life now that she's a parent.'
Significantly, the singer hasn't seen her real father Steven Reed since she was 18 months old, when he and Charlotte's Maria split up.
'That still haunts Maria,' says another source. 'She doesn't want her daughter to have any of the problems she had to face in her relationship with Charlotte's dad. She's always tried to encourage Charlotte to marry.'
A luxury venue
A room at Esperanza can cost up to £2, 500 per night, keeping the luxury resort strictly exclusive.
Katherine Heigl and Josh Kelley had their honeymoon at Esperanza last December.
Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin honeymooned at the resort after their wedding in 2003.
