Socialite only trusts old pals like Nicole Richie

Paris Hilton has revealed she doesn't have many friends as she fears people may use her to get publicity.
'It is hard meeting new people. Most of my friends I've had my entire life, like my sister [Nicky] and Nicole Richie, who have been with me forever,' she tells The Associated Press.
'When I meet new people I'm always a little wary of the reason they may want to become my friend.
'I can usually tell when we're out in public and there's paparazzi around. I see who gets a little bit too excited or whatever. I can tell who those people are.'
Paris, 27, is currently searching for a new pal on MTV show Paris Hilton's My New BFF.
