Melinda Messenger still ‘raw and emotional’ about split

TV presenter trying to be strong for children

Melinda Messenger is said to be distraught about her marriage break-up.

The TV presenter announced yesterday that she is having a trial separation from husband Wayne Roberts after 10 years as man and wife.

‘Melinda never imagined this would happen to them,’ says a source. ‘It’s still raw and emotional at the moment. She’s not really ready to talk about it.’

But Melinda's rep Jane Brent says the couple - who were childhood sweethearts - are putting on a united front for their kids.

‘Right now their main concern is for the children of course,’ she tells the Daily Star. ‘I think that they have gone back to school and they want everything to be as normal as possible.’

Mel, 37 - who has battled severe post-natal depression – and Wayne, 30, are parents to Morgan, 8, Flynn, 6, and Evie, 4.
