Guy Ritchie buys Madonna £10k dagger

Director helps wife celebrate launch of new album Hard Candy

Guy Ritchie has bought wife Madonna a £10k jewel-encrusted dagger.

The director presented her with the gift – designed by Jade Jagger – to celebrate the launch of her new album Hard Candy.

'Madge already has a limited-edition Jade Jagger dagger,' a source tells The Sun. 'Guy thought it would go with the other one — which cost £100,000 and is a one-off.'

Meanwhile, Guy, 39, has complained about the price of houses in the UK, claiming foreigners are pushing the value up by buying up all the available property.

He says it's almost impossible to buy a home central London.

'House prices don't go down, they just go up,' he tells Empire. 'And the natives of England are being left behind because the big money came in and if it wanted something, it bought it and it made a bigger fortune by doing so.'

But critics have slammed Guy for his comments - American Madonna, 49, has 6 properties in London as well as a country home in Wiltshire.

And in the US they have an £8m home in Beverly Hills and a New York apartment.
