Actress holds out an olive branch to actor father Jon Voight
Tuesday, 22 April 2008
Angelina Jolie is rumoured to have asked her estranged dad Jon Voight to walk her down the aisle when she marries Brad Pitt.
The actress fell out with her father six years ago, but now it's thought she wants to make peace.
'Since they started talking in January, Angie thought about asking Jon to give her away,' says a source.
'When Angie and Brad started seriously discussing a wedding, the issue of Angie reconciling with her dad came up again and again.'
The couple are said to be planning a quiet ceremony away from the spotlight.
'George Clooney and Matt Damon will be going, but other than a few film executive friends, it will be a Hollywood-free zone,' the source tells the Mail On Sunday.
'No one will know it's a wedding until they arrive. Instead, they are billing it as a summer barbecue and joint birthday party for Angie and her daughter Shiloh.'
Angelina, 32, is due to give birth in July - reportedly to twins. She also has three adopted kids Maddox, 6, Pax Thien, 4, and Zahara, 3, with Brad, 44.
