Ewan McGregor: I've been on the wagon for seven years

Actor says he's swapped alcohol for motorbikes

Ewan McGregor has revealed that he hasn’t touched alcohol for seven years.

Instead, he's lost himself in his passion for motorbikes.

‘I used to drink, but it didn’t make me happy,’ he says. ‘I have a romance about motorcycles. I don’t know where it comes from.

‘It’s about solace and tranquility,’ he tells Sunday Times Style. ‘Some people find it in the pub; [actor Steve] McQueen found it in his hangar with plans and bikes.

'It’s exhilarating riding into the unknown.’
