Eminem is to make a long-awaited comeback for Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday gig – despite announcing his retirement in 2005.
The rapper, 35, has been confirmed to play at the 27 June event in London's Hyde Park.
'We're amazed to have Eminem on board,' an insider tells The Sun. 'We wanted some of the greatest artists from recent times and Eminem was on the list.
'It's going to be explosive stuff and it's certainly a big stage to make his comeback.'
And he's not the only celeb hoping to help Nelson celebrate turning 90.
Geri Halliwell, 35, wants to give him a personal gift.
'I'll have to get in touch with him,' she tells the Daily Express. 'Perhaps I'll send him a special video message.'
