Simon Cowell: The Brits are out of touch

X Factor judge still fuming that Leona Lewis didn’t win any gongs

Simon Cowell has slammed The Brits for not rewarding Leona Lewis.

The X Factor winner was nominated for 4 gongs, but came home empty handed from the award ceremony last month.

‘I don’t like The Brits,’ Simon says. ‘They don’t represent what’s right in Britain at the moment.

'Leona at The Brits tells you everything about the record business. I believe you should recognise and celebrate success.

'When your flagship music awards deliberately snub someone like Leona, then they're out of touch,’ he tells The Sun.

And Simon, 48, is expecting to see 23-year-old Leona's album Spirit leap to the top of the US charts.
